In the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League, Rajasthan Royals defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets to register their first fantasy IPL 2019 victory. Having tasted defeat for the fourth consecutive time, RCB are now the only team to remain undefeated in the tournament so far. In the four matches that RCB have played so far, they have never sent the same opening combination in two matches. While this shows about the uncertainty in their mindset, RCB fans can expect more of such changes happening going into the tournament. Sadly, the season could not get any worse for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In one of the post match interviews, Kohli claimed that: “The team hasn’t gone off to a good start, and these things look really bad. But we have to keep believing that we can turn things around. Thought we played well in Mumbai and tonight (the previous match with RR), but we need to improve. We need to take some confidence from tonight’s game though.”
The captain’s confidence is predicted towards the squad to show at least some good moves in the next upcoming match on Friday, 8.00pm.
Looking on to the stats, previously in 2018 IPL T20, Shreyas Gopal Dismissed Kohli & AB de Villiers in Same Innings. Added to it, in the ongoing season as well Shreyas Gopal Dismissed Kohli & AB de Villiers. This has been a double treat for Shreyas Gopal fan base to watch!
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) made a thumping start their 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign with two back to back wins. However, their winning run received a setback when they went down against Delhi Capitals (DC) last Saturday in the Super Over. But their recovery seems to be quite easy while facing this battle against the bottom placed RCB’s on coming Friday at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
It’s a chance of fact that the RCB have a home advantage this time, but their performance is making it difficult to predict their win over the strong still mountain-KKR.
Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Robin Uthappa, Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell, Shubman Gill, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Lockie Ferguson, Pradish Krishna
Despite a strong batting line-up, KKR too might find it hard to get a big total on the board if they bat first. The pitch at the Chinnaswamy has not been the batting paradise it once was and has suited the bowlers much more than the batsmen. However, a total of 160+ could be easily defended given their bowling strength.
Quinton de Kock, Brendon McCullum, Virat Kohli, Manan Vohra, Mandeep Singh, Colin de Grandhomme, Washington Sundar, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj and Yuzvendra Chahal.
Royal Challengers Bangalore has a strong batting line up in the squad but the bowling is below average. Unluckily, the pitch is in favor of the spinners this time. It is predicted that the game is fully in the hands of the riders.
