Women have excelled in every field in today’s century and they are no less than men in any way, whether it is work or home, and even sports!
SLWvsENGW is a live example where women from overseas are performing extremely well in the T20 matches at Air Force Ground, Katunayake, Sri Lanka.
Keeping both the teams on serving table, England women’s batting has much more depth than the Sri Lankans although SLW are neither less. But when it comes to spinners, SLW have been disappointingly non effective this series.
Bowling unit is superior with the ENGW than the SLW’s.
Previously, England Women had taken a very easily accessible lead in the three-match series and might be hoping for a clean swipe as the journey is shifted to Katunayake.
- Earlier in the 1st T20 SLW vs ENGW, Linsey Smith powerful bowling spirit did not allow Sri Lankan women to score even a complete century. Also, Tammy’s Beaumont’s sparkable unstoppable half century worked as a light of chase, making the team win on a very easy note. Freya and Anya Shrubsole showed their great skills on bowling where only 3 Lankan women succeeded to score more than 20 runs. Scoreboard stated:
- The 2nd T20 SLWvsENGW was played at the Colts Cricket Ground, Colombo on 26th March 2019 where Sri Lanka succeeded in winning the toss once again but this time chose to bat first. But as the destiny stays, England Women was successful in continuing the victory glory by defeating the Lanka women by 8 wickets and some 40 balls left unplayed. Scoreboard stated:
Though England women won the first 2 T20’s, all eyes are on the tomorrow’s SLWvsENGW where they still find a light of hope in the Lankan women playing strategy. Where England Women are partially happy for the success and enjoying the limelight, on the other hand Sri Lankan Women need to tighten the laces and work really hard to stand apart.
